Layla is a sweetie and courtesy posting for our friends at Ador-a-Bull Dog Rescue www.ador-a-bull.com). She was an illegal Ontario dog - too young for 'the law' and has managed to get a safe spot and is being fostered in Halifax and is available for adoption in Eastern Canada! You must be at least 21 years of age to apply to adopt Layla and have knowledge of BSL, should you be interested in adopting please email and tell us why . . .

Hi! My name is Layla! I adore my new foster parents and always try to cuddle with them! My foster mom always tells me how smart I am. All I know is if I listen I get attention and yummy treats so I always try my best to focus on her. She also tells me how beautiful I am! That makes me feel great! Being inside is pretty awesome! I never feel cold or hungry and I get to do lots of fun things like meet new people and other dogs! I'm always very polite and never stop wagging my tail. Everyone has been super nice to me and being hugged and scratched is my new favorite thing! My foster mommy gives me things called toys and bones! I have never seen stuff like this before-it's the best!! I can chew on a bone quietly for hours! And toys, OH BOY! Every time I pick one up I have to run around with it in my mouth to show it off. I got to meet a new creature called a cat! They don't act the same as dogs, but that's okay, I still like her and leave her alone if she doesn't feel like playing! I always eat all my food and sleep in my crate when asked. If I get too excited I know how to settle down and come to my foster mom when she calls me. I'm going to dog school and I'm SO excited! I love learning new things and getting treats for it! There will be lots of other friends there for me to meet!
Honey is a courtesy posting for our friends at the St. John SPCA. You may still complete an application on our site to be sent to her caretakers or contact them directly.

I am a 8 month old spayed female American Bull dogge, well thats what I was told I was, but I think im really a boxer mix. I am a medium sized dog (50lbs), with short hair, and im very soft, like velvet someone told me.
I am currently up for adoption in Saint John, My old owner left me in a crate in a back of a truck and that is where I lived, alot of the time I didnt have any water or food to eat, I was VERY skinny when I was rescued, I quickly gained weight when I was fed proper food, and had all the care I needed!
I would love to go to a home where my owner is active, either likes to walk, or jog. I am a very high energy puppy who is still growing, and remember I was stuck in a crate for 6 months so I have lots of energy to burn! I do know sit and lay down so far, oh how I love to be rewarded with yummy treats!
So on that note I would really like to go to obedience classes as well so I can learn all my manners, and be a great loving companion for someone.
I get along well with other dogs, and cats, I am a bit hyper at first, please bare with me, im still just a baby.
I love to give big sloppy kisses, and play with my squeaky toys.
Please wont you come in and see me?
