Boxer Rescue of Atlantic Canada
Let me count the ways

Are you interested in becomming a volunteer?
Despite our enthusiasm and willingness to help, sometimes our efforts are tireless. Atlantic Canada is a big territory for a few volunteers. Although we can co-ordinate our actions, we can always use volunteers to help with different aspects of our rescue.

Screening
All applications have to be analyzed and validated. Sometimes it's apparent from this alone whether a home is suited or not. If you'd like to help with this, please let us know!

Home Visits
Let's face it - this is our biggest obstacle right now! With applications from all over, it would be great if we could have help with local reps to visit these homes for us to get that step done.

Transportation
Many times the dogs that come to us are in urgent need of 'out'. Whether they are in a shelter or home... We are always in need of people to share thes drives in various areas to get the dogs to their foster homes.

Donation of supplies
Many of our dogs come with nothing at all. We're always in need of food, bedding, bowls, toys, collars/leashes, and of course - donations for vetting. Anything is appreciated. When we do have items that we cannot utilize for our adoptables, we donate them to other needy rescues. Nothing goes to waste.

Foster Homes
Fostering is not for everyone - I won't lie. If you think you can deal with a temporary family member, please let us know. Our foster homes are specialized with different strengths to help our adoptables as much as possible. Some dogs need help with socializing, obedience, health issues, or just a safe place to stay until their forever home is found. Most importantly, a foster home assesses the dog to find the best home possible for him/her.

We want to send out a HUGE Boxer thank you to Amy Anderson and Tara Wesenberg who have raised funds for us this summer through garage sales and bake sales. Their donation is going to help us so much and we really appreciate it. Shown here is our youngest volunteer, Kali, with her new friend and BRAC alumni, Pudge. Great job!!!
