Gone too soon...
Neo was an American Staffordshire Terrier mix (maybe Boxer) puppy. Poor little Neo had such a hard start to life, beginning at 5 weeks old when his leg was broken. Surgery corrected this, but sadly, he encountered another setback when he had a near fatal reaction to his vaccines. His personality was completely altered. Despite healing fully from his leg surgery, he just was too damaged and was not a happy & healthy puppy. Neo went to the Rainbow Bridge on July 30, 2008 at the age of 15 weeks, with his foster mom at his side until the end. You were loved, dear boy.
Duncan, a Boxer/Bulldog , was a gentle soul who loved everyone and every thing. He patiently accepted the foster dogs he met (we're a foster home for BRAC). Sadly, Duncan became ill in the Fall of 2007, and was subsequently diagnosed with a brain-tumor. Duncan lived for another month until he departed for the Rainbow Bridge on November 13, 2007. He would have been 8 years old on January 1, 2008. He was loved greatly and is dearly missed.
Cinder was never placed by Boxer Rescue of Atlantic Canada. We only assisted in her care with advice and were on 'stand by' should we be needed. Cinder was a wonderful soul who touched many lives. She was brought to the Oromucto SPCA by the police/RCMP, clearly in need of medical care. Although the SPCA, her foster families and BRAC were committed to this sweet girl, we were not able to save her. Such a sweet young life, gone too soon. Cinder leaves a legacy behind and has shown many what caring and compassion really means. Cinder is an angel.
This is Sam, resting with his big sister, Rachael. He loved to share cuddle time. Sam didn't have a very good life as far as we could tell. That's until he found Diane, Rachael and CJ - his guardian angels. Sam was spoiled as he deserved and loved to pieces with these wonderful folks. He will be dearly missed by his family and his 'little' sis, Sophie. Rest in peace, dear Sammy.
MOLLY left us, sadly, on June 28th, 2007 with her devoted adopted mom by her side. Molly, since coming to us, was one of our special needs dogs and her story can be found there. Unfortunately, after 2.5 years of fighting, Molly's body couldn't hold up any longer. Molly's kidneys failed and she was taken for her last drive in a car, shared an ice cream with her mom and was given the final gift of kindness that we can give. We'll miss you forever, Molly.

DUKE Arrived too late and gone to soon. Duke was an original from beginning to end, from his fear of the dark, bathrooms and the vacuum to his endless devotion and kuddles. His personality was amazing and all he wanted was to be loved, and love him we did. Yet his eyes told a sad story. A story that caused Duke to leave our lives to soon. A similar story we all know about....neglect, misuse and abuse. And as hard as he tried on his journey to forget, his fear and confusion over took him. Duke came to us as a foster eager to please and we welcomed him into our home eager to fulfill his needs, and there was a part of us that knew he was ours to stay with until the end. Duke is now at Rainbow Bridge where he can be free. We only wish we still had his snorty and slobbery kisses. Duke is a dog that changed our lives forever. We miss you boy and a part of you will always be with us. Love Erin, Roger and Jade and your fur sisters and brothers.
